We announced in February 2023 that we will demolish and redevelop the P1 domestic car park which, at 54-years-old, has reached the end of its useful life.

Works are underway with the demolition of the car park is expected to be complete by mid-2024, with work underway on development plans for the site. We will use the redevelopment of the site as a catalyst for improving the experience for customers and operators in the precinct.

We will ensure passenger disruption is minimised and car parking customers will continue to be accommodated across the P2, P3 and Blu Emu domestic car parks.

The P1 car park has a footprint of 13,000 square metres and was originally constructed in 1969, with further extensions in 1977 and 1983.
