The Public pick-up zones are dedicated parking areas near the International terminals, designed to make it easy to pick up passengers from the airport. Drive up on the day and park for free at the Public Pick-up zones for up to 15 minutes once per calendar day.

Public pick-up rates

Directions for arriving passengers: Follow the green Rideshare signage after exiting the Arrivals Hall.

Directions for drivers: Follow the green Rideshare signage as you enter the International precinct. Note that all parking payments for Rideshare are made via your e-Tag, charged as you exit the zone. No cash or credit card payments are accepted at Rideshare. If you don’t have an e-Tag, you should choose the Public Pick-up zone (15 minutes’ free parking, charges apply for longer stays) or the P7 multi-storey car park.

Accessible pick-up spaces are available on the Arrivals level. There are 2 set down spaces with wheelchair ramps. Drivers must make themselves known to kerbside officers if they need to leave their vehicle to briefly assist a passenger.

Picking up friends or family? Pick them up at our express pick-up zone at Sydney Airport Domestic, located a short walk away from the terminals.

Simply drive up on the day and stay free for one entry per calendar day, up to 15 minutes. If you’d like to stay longer, try short-term car parking instead.

Directions for drivers: Follow the green signage for Priority Pick-up as you arrive in the Domestic precinct. Note that all parking payments are made automatically via e-TAG charged as you exit the zone. No cash or credit card payments are accepted at Priority Pick-up. If you don’t have an e-TAG yet, you’ll be directed to alternative parking. Please note there is a height restriction of 2.9m in the priority pick-up zone.
