Information for taxi drivers
After extensive consultation with NSW Taxi Operator and Drivers Association, NSW Taxi Council, 13CABS and the Taxi Drivers Benefit Association, we have decommissioned the taxi short-fare system to deliver a better and fairer process for taxi drivers, while improving the experience for customers.
This is in line with taxi ranks across Sydney and taxi drivers are welcome to join the queue at our taxi bays in order to pick up a fare from Sydney Airport.

FAQs
We charge transport operators a small fee to reflect the cost of providing facilities. Ground transport revenue is reinvested into major projects and roads in and around the airport precinct.
We provide infrastructure and services to support thousands of taxi drivers that operate on-airport. Access fees are reinvested in new capacity and improvements for drivers and passengers, as well as day-to-day kerbside and traffic management.
